Quality Technician

Location: Salt Lake City, UT 84107

Responsibilities

• Test products every day in the quality lab to make sure parts fit and work the way they should
• Run certification testing as assigned
• Test new molded parts and parts made after mold changes
• Inspect incoming materials and parts
• Collect product and lot samples for testing
• Tag and quarantine parts that don't meet standards, following the set procedure
• Make day-to-day quality calls and let the production team know what to do
• Help look into customer complaints about product quality

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1 to 3 years of experience working in a lab setting
• Comfort using testing and measuring equipment and following lab procedures
• Ability to work around some chemicals and odors while wearing gloves, eye protection, and a respirator when needed
• Ability to work 100% on-site and live locally

Skills

• Product inspection and fit, form, and function testing
• Using lab testing and measuring equipment by following written procedures
• Product sampling and handling of nonconforming product (quarantine)
• 12 or more months in a quality lab (preferred)
• Experience in a plastics or molding plant (preferred)
• Experience testing parts after mold changes or during mold qualification (preferred)

Schedule

Shift: 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, 100% on-site
