Quality Technician
About the Role
Quality Technicians play an integral role in Daisy's mission of providing our consumers high-quality, great-tasting products. We are looking for motivated individuals who have strong problem-solving/analytical skills, are adaptable, and exhibit a strong desire to learn and grow. While managing a 24/7 production operation, the Daisy Brand Quality Team strives to provide a work-life balance with an average of 45 hours/week. Responsibilities
- Pulls, records, and labels finished product samples for immediate testing and shelf-life evaluations.
- Verifies product labeling and code dates.
- Performs sensory analysis on finished products, including grading sour cream and cottage cheese.
- Operates and calibrates laboratory equipment, troubleshooting as needed.
- Communicates critical product evaluation results to management.
- Manages vendor supply and quarterly vendor scorecard communication.
- Oversees the pest control management program.
- Performs microbiological testing on raw, in-process, and finished product samples.
- Conducts water, environmental monitoring, and special project testing.
- Maintains the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) with daily data entry.
- Manages product hold and release programs.
- Verifies and restocks lab supplies.
- Conducts GMP audits and prepares for state inspections and customer audits.
- Maintains lab organization and cleanliness.
Qualifications
- High school education required; technical degree with a science focus preferred.
- 3-5 years of lab-related experience.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.
- Proficiency in reading and following SOPs and methods manuals.
- Basic computer skills and data entry proficiency.
- Physical ability to lift 30-50 lbs, bend, squat, kneel, walk, and stand for extended periods.

Pay
- Competitive pay, starting from $20/hr for entry-level positions.
