Responsibilities
- Processes typical to product verification in a machining and assembly environment
- Measurement of product against design specifications using sophisticated and basic measurement devices
- Verifying received components meet requirements prior to use
- Supporting the calibration process
- Assisting Quality Engineering establish inspection plans
- Documenting and electronically storing quality records in appropriate network locations
- Basic maintenance of inspection equipment
- Assisting with the non-conforming material process
- Supporting manufacturing personnel with their understanding of measurement techniques
- Other items as required
Qualifications
- Associate degree in technical field or equivalent technical work experience in a manufacturing environment
- 2-5 years of experience manufacturing environment that includes machining and assembly
- Knowledge of computer software programs including Microsoft Office (Word/ Excel / PowerPoint)
- Experience with sophisticated quality inspection equipment such as Coordinate Measurement Machines, Keyence, laser scanners, and experience with pin gauges, micrometers, calipers, etc.
- Experience with layout / surface plate inspection techniques
- Knowledge of statistical sampling plans
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing
- Ability to interact well with all levels of personnel throughout the organization as well as suppliers and customers
- Experience working in a regulated industry with certification to AS9100 or ISO9000
- Ability to organize thoughts and prioritize work tasks based on the needs of the operation
- Be self-motivated, focused, and detail oriented with a positive attitude
