About the role
This position is eligible for medical, dental, vision, and 401(k). The Quality Technician will support manufacturing operations by ensuring fabricated products meet customer specifications, internal standards, and industry requirements. This role will perform hands-on inspections, support quality audits, document findings, and work closely with production and engineering teams to identify issues and improve processes.
Responsibilities
- Perform inspections throughout the manufacturing process, including incoming materials, production stages, welds, fit-ups, and finished products.
- Verify products meet engineering drawings, customer requirements, and quality specifications.
- Utilize measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and tape measures to confirm accuracy.
- Review and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and technical drawings.
- Complete quality audits, inspections, and production verification checks.
- Maintain accurate inspection records and quality documentation.
- Identify and investigate defects or nonconforming products.
- Support root cause investigations and corrective action initiatives.
- Partner with welders, engineers, and production teams to resolve quality concerns.
- Absorb and maintain compliance with ASME standards and customer requirements.
- Participate in continuous improvement efforts focused on reducing defects and improving processes.
- Help reinforce quality expectations and inspection procedures with production employees.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 2 years of quality inspection experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in welding, fabrication, machining, or industrial manufacturing preferred.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, weld symbols, and technical drawings.
- Experience using precision measurement equipment.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and documentation skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with production teams, engineering, and leadership.
- Familiarity with quality systems and documentation processes.
- Knowledge of ASME quality standards preferred.
- Experience with root cause analysis and corrective actions is a plus.
- Technical degree or certification in Quality, Manufacturing, or a related field preferred.
Qualifications
- Must be authorized to work in the United States now and in the future without assistance.
- Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–4:30 PM. Overtime required every other Saturday for approximately 5 hours.
