Quality Technician

Job Title: Quality Technician Job Description As a Quality Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and safety of pharmaceutical materials. You will be responsible for inspecting incoming active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs), excipients, packaging, and pharmacy materials to ensure they meet accuracy, labeling, and compliance standards. Responsibilities Inspect incoming pharmaceutical materials for accuracy, damage, labeling issues, and compliance.Review Certificates of Analysis (COAs), Certificates of Conformance (COCs), and supplier documentation.Verify lot numbers, expiration dates, quantities, and supplier information against company specifications.Maintain quarantine, release, rejected, and expired material status within inventory systems.Coordinate sampling, testing, and documentation activities.Support lot traceability and material tracking throughout the product lifecycle.Document and escalate discrepancies, temperature excursions, damaged shipments, and quality concerns.Assist with investigations, corrective actions, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.Partner with Purchasing, Inventory, Quality, and Compounding teams to support production schedules.Maintain accurate records in compliance with SOPs, USP standards, and applicable regulations. Essential Skills Experience in quality control and pharmaceutical material inspection.Proficiency in Certificate of Analysis (COA) review and lot traceability.Strong skills in inventory management and documentation.Knowledge of GMP/USP compliance and material release processes.Attention to detail and regulatory compliance knowledge.Ability to conduct root cause investigations.Proficient in Microsoft Office and inventory systems. Additional Skills & Qualifications Ohio Registered Pharmacy Technician certification.Strong organizational and documentation skills.Ability to follow SOPs and work independently.Strong communication and problem-solving abilities. Work Environment The work schedule is Monday through Friday, with hours from 8am to 4pm or 9am to 5pm. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
