Quality Technician
Responsibilities
- Inspect raw materials, components, fabricated/manufactured parts, and assemblies.
- Perform accurate first article inspections on new parts from suppliers and issue results.
- Dispose of scrap material after the Accounting Department removes it from the inventory database and clear the SAP parts location of scrapped material.
- Maintain accuracy of inspection files.
- Train new inspectors as needed and resolve inspection questions.
- Interact with suppliers regarding inspection processes.
- Perform product inspections and/or audits of quality control programs.
- Conduct manufacturing inspections, sampling, and testing of fabricated components and raw materials using precision measuring equipment.
- Read and apply production instructions, drawings, Bills of Material schematics, and specifications.
- Facilitate the disposition of part rejections with engineers, suppliers, purchasing, and quality departments.
Essential Skills
- 3+ years of quality experience
- Experience using calipers, micrometers, and gauges
- Experience with precision machining and equipment
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, geometric tolerance, and finish requirements
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- ISO 9001 knowledge/experience
Pay And Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $28.00/hr.
