Quality Technician - 3rd Shift

3rd shift position: Sunday–Thursday, 11:00 pm – 7:00 am.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and identify critical control points (CCP) within the processes
• Monitor processes and product food safety and quality throughout the manufacturing process
• Ensure correct documentation and filing of all relevant record logs and documentation
• Ensure the correct recipe guidelines for products are met during processing
• Ensure employees follow all food safety and worker safety practices
• Educate employees on quality expectations
• Collect product samples for the Quality lab
• Perform inspections on in-process printing to ensure quality and accuracy of the print according to customer specifications
• Identify non-conformances and ensure they are corrected in real time when feasible
• Work directly with Operations on the presses, slitter, lamination, etc. to identify areas for continuous improvement
• Ensure paperwork is accurate and filled out in a timely manner on the production lines

Requirements

• 1–2 years’ experience in printing, food, or regulated industry with knowledge of cGMP’s (21 CFR 110/111/210/211) preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office package software
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent time management skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Self-motivated with proven leadership skills
• Prior experience in a food environment a plus
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
• Flexible availability for night and weekend shifts
• Ability to adapt to changes in the work environment, manage competing demands, and handle frequent change, delays, or unexpected events
• Ability to make immediate decisions on product disposition
