Duties

  • Perform all quality checks.
  • Collect the required samples for measuring, even when production starts later in the day.
  • Measure samples per check sheet requirement.
  • Make sure the first piece is measured even if part is run for the first time late in the day.
  • Fill out all required check sheets.
  • Input data into Plex.
  • Identify and understand all defects.
  • Collect the parts in the red and yellow bins at least every 2 hours and disposition collected parts.
  • Parts collected from the red bins will be scrapped.
  • Parts collected from the yellow bins to be reworked or judged ok for production to use.
  • Parts returned to production line must be introduced to the beginning of the process.
  • Update information for parts in Plex after dispositions for scrap, location changes, etc.
  • Comply with inspection procedures, inspect thoroughly prescribed inspection check points.
  • Verify processes and answer quality calls to make quality decisions.
  • Monitor paste weights and size hourly in 4X.
  • Follow Lathe sampling procedure in 3X.
  • Check spot welding condition in 4X.
  • Check parts in FG containers hourly.
  • Monitor when manual labelling happens.
  • Verify correct labels are on parts and tote labels also match.
  • Verify safe launch parts are taken to safe launch and not skipped to pack out.
  • Verify parts are certified when necessary.
  • Communicate with all lines that touch the part prior to your line and after your line to ensure containment.
  • Communicate with the lab to ensure shorter down times on the lines.
  • Train on CCCPs and Quality Alerts for your area.
  • Help set up sorts in your area.
  • Stop, call, wait for QC lead, QC supervisor, QA engineer, QA manager when process is producing excessive rejects.

Safety

  • Wear required safety equipment at all times.
  • Report any injury, complete accident report, and submit to Human Resources when injury occurs in the plant.

Uniforms and Personal Property

  • You are provided 3 tee shirts. These are part of your uniform that must be worn daily.
  • 4X and 5X uniform must be worn properly in the clean room.
  • All personal items must be kept in your locker or automobile.
  • Headphones are prohibited in the work area.
  • Food and drink are to be left in break area and not in lockers.

Qualifications

  • HS Diploma or GED.
  • Ability to use various measurement gages and other equipment to perform measurements.
  • Basic Math knowledge.
  • Good communication skills and English language skills to communicate with Quality supervisor, Quality engineer and Quality manager.
  • Company Oriented.
  • Reliable and have excellent attendance.
  • Able to deal with stress and have a positive attitude.
  • Able to learn PLEX.
  • Able to learn computer software (Excel, Word, Outlook).
