Responsibilities

  • Follow all safety policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for in-process inspection and test verification for Quality, Food Packaging Safety, and other requirements.
  • Ensure all QA bench-top test equipment is calibrated and functioning properly.
  • Responsible for documentation, sampling, and quarantining of non-conforming material.
  • Completes certificates of analysis and other documentation.
  • Maintains quality communications, both internally and externally.
  • Maintains monitoring of floor activities, performing hands-on work with the production process.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications, Education And Experience

  • 2-5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Prior quality experience in a similar role utilizing testing equipment—strongly preferred.
  • Solid working knowledge of quality processes and related manufacturing.
  • SQF or other quality certification experience—plus.
  • Candidate must have the ability to work independently and as part of a team, effectively communicate, get along with others, maintain a positive attitude, and be well organized.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Teams, and Outlook.
  • Experience with ERP system—plus.
  • Maintains strict confidentiality and protects privacy of confidential/sensitive information.
  • Exceptional time management and organization skills.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, establishing priorities to meet deadlines.
  • Communicates effectively (verbal, written, and presentations) with executive leadership, staff, and internal and external clients.
  • Proactive; exercises sound judgment and decision making; able to identify problems and needs and develop solutions and/or options.
  • Self-confident, self-motivated, polished professional who thrives in a challenging, fast-paced environment.
