Responsibilities

  • Lead problem solving for quality issues.
  • Implement resolutions from basic to complex problems.
  • Implement process improvements.
  • Lead team adherence to Quality Control Plans and mistake proofing.
  • Conduct process and product audits.
  • Conduct standardized problem-solving and corrective actions.
  • Support gage/tool calibration and Gage Repeatability & Reproducibility (GR&R).
  • Participate in Material Review Board (MRB) review and corrective actions.
  • Adhere to company policies and state/federal regulations.

Requirements

  • Quality Technician I:
    • Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
    • Experience: 0–3 years in quality.
    • Problem Solving: Basic.
    • Leadership: Supports team communication and metrics.
    • Technical Knowledge: Basic drawing, wiring, schematic interpretation; intermediate PC skills.
  • Quality Technician II:
    • Education: Associate’s degree or equivalent.
    • Experience: 3+ years in quality.
    • Problem Solving: Moderate.
    • Leadership: Leads team communication on quality metrics and project countermeasures; ability to train others.
    • Technical Knowledge: Intermediate knowledge of PPAP, PFMEA, Quality Control Plans, mistake proofing, NMR, ECR, SPC, ISO processes; CMM programming knowledge.
  • Quality Technician III:
    • Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred.
    • Experience: 5+ years in quality or Certified Quality Technician preferred.
    • Problem Solving: Advanced, including cross-functional issues.
    • Leadership: Leads multiple teams or departments; mentors and trains others.
    • Technical Knowledge: Advanced knowledge of all QC tools, ISO systems, and process improvement methodologies; design audits and complex corrective actions.

Additional Skills

  • Maintain professional rapport with peers and support groups.
  • Communicate issues and countermeasures to Supervisor.
  • Perform reading, writing, and math functions.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and quality standards.

Physical Demands

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls.
  • The employee is regularly required to stand and walk.
  • On occasion the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders.
  • The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 - 50 pounds.
  • Specific conditions of this job are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision and ability to adjust focus.
