Quality Technician - 2nd shift

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out routine quality inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products.
  • Perform product sampling and testing according to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Record and maintain accurate quality data in logs, databases, or quality management systems.
  • Identify nonconformities and assist in root cause analysis and corrective action processes.
  • Support calibration, equipment verification, and environmental monitoring programs.
  • Communicate quality issues promptly to production, maintenance, and management teams.
  • Aid in internal and external audits (e.g., ISO, GMP, HACCP, FDA, or customer audits).
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on process quality and efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.

Essential Qualifications and Experience

  • A high school diploma or GED, with an associate’s degree in Quality, Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related field preferred.
  • 1–3 years of experience in a quality assurance, laboratory, or production environment (industry-specific experience preferred).
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify deviations and defects.
  • Knowledge of quality systems, testing methods, and measurement tools.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and basic data entry.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with relevant standards such as ISO 9001, GMP, HACCP, FDA, etc.
