Key Responsibilities
- Carry out routine quality inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products.
- Perform product sampling and testing according to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Record and maintain accurate quality data in logs, databases, or quality management systems.
- Identify nonconformities and assist in root cause analysis and corrective action processes.
- Support calibration, equipment verification, and environmental monitoring programs.
- Communicate quality issues promptly to production, maintenance, and management teams.
- Aid in internal and external audits (e.g., ISO, GMP, HACCP, FDA, or customer audits).
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on process quality and efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.
Essential Qualifications and Experience
- A high school diploma or GED, with an associate’s degree in Quality, Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related field preferred.
- 1–3 years of experience in a quality assurance, laboratory, or production environment (industry-specific experience preferred).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify deviations and defects.
- Knowledge of quality systems, testing methods, and measurement tools.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and basic data entry.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with relevant standards such as ISO 9001, GMP, HACCP, FDA, etc.
