What Will You Do?

  • Provide analysis of data and write summaries to validate or show deviations from existing standards
  • Recommend modifications to existing or suggest new standards, methods and procedures
  • Handle moderately complex issues and problems and refer high complex issues to higher-level staff
  • Utilize tools (such as caliper, micrometer, optical comparator, CMM etc.) in daily tasks
  • Participate in Product, process and Quality Management System audits
  • Inspect products to ensure conformance to established quality standards
  • Initiate nonconformance reports
  • Initiate revisions for Quality Management System documentation
  • Conduct sample receiving inspections on purchased parts
  • Gather gas samples in support of product gas analysis
  • Issue production line Certificates of Compliance (CoC’s)
  • Conducts chemical analysis
  • Inspect incoming material (FAI) and final product
  • Pressure test rupture discs
  • Perform leak tests through bubbles and tracer gas sniffing

Your Physical Work Environment Will Require

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk and sit.
  • Frequently uses hands to handle or feel objects, tools or controls and reach with hands and arms.
  • Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl.
  • Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color evaluations and the ability to adjust focus.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles.
  • Moderate to loud noise level in the work environment

Your Experience Should Be

  • 2+ years of quality technician experience, preferably in manufacturing
  • Experience reading and interpreting blueprints and work orders
  • Intermediate to advanced math skills (weight measurement, volume, distance, multiplication, division, percentage and conversions)
  • Attention to detail essential
  • Intermediate computer skills
  • Strong time management skills
  • Proven ability to identify, reason and problem solve intermediate non-conformities and deviations
  • Overtime and weekend hours, as needed
  • ASQ certification
  • General to intermediate knowledge of ISO procedures
  • Welding experience, a plus
