About the role

The Quality Control Technician 2 performs a wide range of duties within the quality department, including floor auditing, CMM operation, gage control, dock audits, and assisting in sort operations. This role also involves conducting gage R&R studies, gage calibrations, various studies, data collection, and overseeing sort operations.

Responsibilities

• CMM Program Modifications and Programming, daily calibration and maintenance
• Maintenance of Gage Trak System for gages
• Gage calibrations and control of gage certifications
• Assist in gage R&R studies
• Floor auditing of parts and audit gage tables
• Assist in capability studies
• Assist or manage sorts (tagging, material movement, training, monitoring, writing alerts/purges, etc.)
• Perform LPA audits and report results
• Daily scrap disposition and scrap reporting as instructed
• Weekly and monthly scrap reports as instructed
• Daily purge/alert report
• MRB maintenance – daily counts and report out
• Posting of information to floor information boards
• Balloon prints, Dimensional Inspection Report, Annual part Lay-Outs

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• At least three years’ experience as a CMM Operator
• Five years’ experience in an automotive manufacturing environment
• Prior experience with SPC, LPAs, gauges, and micrometers
