Job Summary
We have an opening for a Quality Systems Manager in our Quality Engineering Department! This individual will maintain registration and direct activities of the integrated Quality and Environmental Management Systems (ISO9001, IATF 16949, AS9100, ISO 13485, and ISO 14001). This individual will also contribute to new business initiatives and projects while reviewing and communicating the impact on the QMS and EMS.
Responsibilities
- Maintains certifications and registrations for the Quality and Environmental Management Systems
- Schedules and performs internal/external quality and environmental audits
- Performs review and maintains applicable customer specifics systems registration (e.g. BIQS)
- Reviews and ensures that applicable environmental laws and regulations are reviewed
- Reports to top management results of internal and external audits as well as the status of the QMS and EMS
- Reviews, develops and ensures that all necessary systems and procedures (including corrective actions) are in place to satisfy the requirements of the QMS, EMS, customer requirements and audits
- Performs and reviews supplier evaluations
- Supports the Director of Quality Engineering in the management of specific processes/projects
- Supports other departments with techniques for continuous improvements (e.g. 6s, Gemba walks, problem solving, trend analysis, etc.)
- Initiates and/or assists with investigations
- Reviews technical problems and procedures of departments and recommends solutions or changes in processes and procedures
- Reviews safety issues and its risk management
- Assists other departments (companywide) with Environmental and Quality Engineering inquiries
- Global engagement in all certifications
- Assists with recruiting, developing and evaluating department team members
- Collaborates with top management personnel in formulating and establishing quality company policies, operating procedures and goals
- Hosts and performs customer and supplier audits, on-site and/or written
Qualifications
- Four-year Engineering Bachelor's degree (B.S.); and five+ years related experience
- Minimum seven years' experience in a role supervising subordinate engineers and technicians
- Quality engineering experience in implementing QMS systems, supplier QA and quality auditing
- In depth understanding of ISO 9001, ISO 13485, IATF 16949, AS9100, ISO 14001, and ISO 17025
- Quality engineering experience, implementation of QMS systems, supplier evaluation quality auditing
- Core tools interpretation and compliance with OSHA requirements
- Must be authorized to work in the US on a permanent basis
Pay
A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is $90,000 - $120,000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. This role is bonus/and or incentive eligible.
