Job Responsibilities
- Quality Assurance: Manage consumer complaints, data analysis, trend identification, and communication with site personnel to drive investigations and resolutions. Control non-conforming products, conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and develop and implement corrective actions (CAPA).
- Laboratory Operations Management: Lead and manage the QA laboratory, ensuring efficient and accurate testing processes and allocation of resources. Train and supervise team of technicians, monitor and analyze lab test results, and review and interpret test data.
- Additional Duties: Assist production floor supervisors with food safety and quality issues, collaborate with regulatory and compliance teams, assist with Global QP and FSSC updates, and participate in quality management system reviews.
What You Will Bring
- Quality and Food Safety Leadership: Grow site Quality Culture, demonstrate experience and knowledge in food safety/HACCP, and self-motivated with strong independent ability.
- Team Leadership: Fundamental understanding of quality systems, spec management, product testing, traceability, and building quality culture; strong team leadership skills, conscientious of team morale, and driving site culture.
- Problem Solving: Proactive, self-driven, and action-oriented; results-focused, balancing short and long-term goals; motivated by achievement, and persistent until goals are reached; solution-oriented mind set with strong problem solving and communication skills.
- Communication: Highly proficient computer (MS Office - Excel) and communication (verbal and written) skills are required.
Education / Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; strong relevant experience acceptable.
- PCQI Certification preferred.
Job Specific Requirements
- 3 years+ working in a similar role required.
- Quality experience in food manufacturing.
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) strong preference.
More About This Role
- Position is full-time, in-person, and flexibility is required.
- Applicants must be available to work any shift, including weekends and overtime as needed.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with known allergens such as: milk, eggs, nuts (tree nuts), wheat and soy is required.
- Experience in data analysis using tools such as Minitab is preferred.
- Demonstrated success in influencing teams to implement and execute department strategy.
- Excellent communication skills and process adherence.
- Solution-oriented problem solving.
Salary and Benefits
The base salary range for this position is $86,900 to $119,515; the exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education and location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.
