Summary
The Quality Support Technician serves to support the operations team by providing and performing a detailed and thorough inspection and cleaning of the repaired vehicle prior to release to the customer. This role will also serve to assist shop operations by performing a variety of tasks associated with maintenance of the shop location, including cleaning and organizing various pieces of equipment and tools.Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Responsible for performing a thorough detailing and cleaning of all vehicles prior to final delivery to the customer.
- Visually inspect every vehicle for flaws in the repaired area. Promptly notify the General Manager or assigned technician should any defects or issues be found upon inspection.
- Responsible for assisting in the general maintenance of shop location and outside grounds.
- Inspecting goods or products according to quality and safety standards.
- Maintaining the proper function of all service tools and equipment in the detail department; keep personal work area organized and returns tools, materials, and equipment to designated areas.
- Identifying possible areas for improvement in quality control processes.
- Performing any cleaning activities such as mopping, dusting, sweeping, as well as collecting and emptying trash cans daily. Service, clean, and supply any items in restrooms.
- Make minor repairs when necessary, such as changing a light bulb.
Qualifications
- A High School Diploma or equivalent
- A valid Drivers License and good driving record is necessary
- Prior experience in automotive industry is strongly preferred but not required
- Excellent verbal communication and mechanical skills
- Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to be flexible with task assignments and respond to the needs of the shop operations team
- Ability to work independently but also as part of a larger team to meet the objective of servicing the customer and vehicle
