Essential Functions And Responsibilities
- Perform a thorough detailing and cleaning of all vehicles prior to final delivery to the customer.
- Visually inspect every vehicle for flaws in the repaired area. Notify the General Manager or assigned technician of any defects or issues found upon inspection.
- Assist in the general maintenance of shop location and outside grounds.
- Inspect goods or products according to quality and safety standards.
- Ensure that test equipment is calibrated and working correctly.
- Utilize all required safety equipment, adhere to all requirements for hazardous waste disposal, and participate in monthly safety meetings.
- Maintain the proper function of all service tools and equipment in the detail department; keep personal work area organized and return tools, materials, and equipment to designated areas.
- Identify possible areas for improvement in quality control processes.
- Perform cleaning activities such as mopping, dusting, sweeping, and collecting and emptying trash cans daily.
- Service, clean, and supply any items in restrooms.
- Make minor repairs when necessary, such as changing a light bulb.
Qualifications
- A High School Diploma or equivalent.
- A valid Driver’s License and good driving record are necessary.
- Prior experience in automotive industry is strongly preferred but not required.
- Excellent verbal communication and mechanical skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to be flexible with task assignments and respond to the needs of the shop operations team.
- Ability to work independently but also as part of a larger team to meet the objective of servicing the customer and vehicle.
