About the role
The Quality Support Specialist provides administrative and clerical support services to the Quality Management System to ensure its proper functioning.
Responsibilities
- Maintain internal and external documents
- Operate the mail room
- File storage and audit records
- Upload or extract information to/from internet portals or databases
- Prepare, scan, and check conversion/upload of documents
- Ensure revision control on quality system documentation
- Verify accuracy of purchasing information relative to QMS requirements
- Prepare various reports/metrics using documented information
- Support personnel qualifications (eye exams, certifications, training)
- Provide hospitality services for internal and external visitors
- Handle and account for petty cash
Requirements
- Read and write English
- High School Diploma
- General Quality System knowledge
- General computer skills
- Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access)
- Various 3rd party software programs (LaserVault, AS400)
- Detail-oriented and able to follow issues through to completion
- Excellent communication skills
- Knowledge of common concepts, practices, and procedures within the Quality Department
Qualifications
- General knowledge of quality management systems
- Ability to use Microsoft Office products
