Key responsibilities
- Support the development, maintenance, and improvement of measurement systems and procedures to ensure valid results.
- Support the definition of procedures for each laboratory activity (measurement, instrument programming, test, calibration) and ensure compliance to external measurement standards and related GKN specific requirements.
- Perform required inspection, instrument programming, test, or calibration according to the defined procedures.
- Identify and support the resolution of problems related to the material and/or manufacturing process.
- Support internal and external reports for product/process validation, material approval, and customer specific issues or requests.
- Retain appropriate documented information and test samples as evidence of the results.
- Support the development, maintenance, and improvement of measurement systems and procedures to ensure valid results.
- Provide measurement services and perform Product Audits to ensure compliance to product specification at all stages of manufacture.
- Support internal and external reports for product/process validation, material approval, and customer specific issues or requests.
- Retain appropriate documented information and test samples as evidence of the results.
- Support laboratory continuous improvement activities in physical and/or metallurgical measurements of materials, components, and assemblies.
