bioMérieux is seeking a Quality Specialist to perform physical inspections of card batches on the production floor, support quality walkthroughs, and assist with performance testing through microbiological laboratories.
Responsibilities
- Utilize AQL sampling guidance to inspect cards, pouches, and cartons for physical anomalies or rejects.
- Support containment of quarantined or rejected materials as needed.
- Assist in nonconformance investigations using Root Cause Analysis tools (e.g., 5 WHYS, 5M+E, Is/Is Not).
- Perform walk-throughs to support technicians with quality decisions, procedure questions, and feedback.
- Implement and complete continuous improvement projects.
- Collaborate with the Final QC lab and multiple departments to review card inspection results.
- Ensure all work complies with company quality procedures and standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- 3+ years of related experience in an FDA manufacturing environment and/or quality manufacturing.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Experience working in a GMP environment.
- Familiarity with relevant domestic and international regulations and industry standards (e.g., ISO, FDA QSR).
- Prior knowledge of MES, SPC, or SAP.

Working Conditions
- Ability to remain in a stationary position (sitting or standing) for prolonged periods.
- Ability to wear PPE correctly for most of the day.
- Ability to operate heavy machinery.
- Ability to adjust or move objects up to 50 pounds in all directions.
- Domestic travel required: 5% of the time.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position has no direct or indirect supervisory responsibilities. Operational and tactical decisions are made independently, while strategic decisions require supervisory review and approval.
Pay
The estimated salary range for this role is $23.00 to $32.20 hourly in Missouri. Actual compensation is determined based on experience and may include a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and individual performance.
