Quality, Safety and Sustainability Manager
Description
Lead and continuously improve the site's ISO 9001 Quality Management System, ensuring compliance and audit readiness.
Manage quality processes, including internal audits, corrective actions (CAPA), root cause analysis, and performance metrics.
Develop, maintain, and standardize SOPs, work instructions, risk assessments, and operational controls.
Oversee site safety programs and ensure compliance with all California OSHA regulations and workplace safety requirements.
Conduct safety audits, inspections, incident investigations, and employee training programs.
Lead sustainability and environmental initiatives, including waste reduction, recycling, and compliance programs.
Track, analyze, and report quality, safety, and sustainability KPIs to support continuous improvement efforts.
Partner with operations leadership to optimize workflows, improve process efficiency, and strengthen operational controls.
Lead cross-functional projects focused on quality, compliance, safety, and operational excellence.
Support customer audits, regulatory requirements, and compliance-related requests while serving as the site's subject matter expert for quality, safety, and sustainability.
Requirements
- 7-10+ years of experience managing ISO 9001 quality systems within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience leading safety and environmental programs.
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 requirements, internal auditing, CAPA, risk management, and root cause analysis.
- Working knowledge of California OSHA regulations and safety management systems.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational setting.
Qualifications
- Experience in packaging, printing, display manufacturing, consumer products, contract manufacturing, fulfillment, or related industries.
- Familiarity with sustainability frameworks and reporting tools, including FSC, PEFC, Sedex, EcoVadis, environmental metrics, and carbon accounting.
- ISO 9001 Internal Auditor or Lead Auditor certification.
- OSHA 30-Hour certification.
- Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement certification.
