No two days in Quality look exactly the same. Depending on your experience and role level, you'll strengthen our food safety and quality systems while partnering with teams across the plant.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Production to ensure safe, consistent, high-quality products.
  • Support or lead food safety and quality programs, including HACCP, SQF, FSMA, BRC, or FSSC requirements.
  • Review production records, quality documentation, and process data.
  • Investigate quality concerns and help identify the root cause.
  • Lead or support corrective actions to prevent recurring issues.
  • Prepare for customer, regulatory, and third-party audits.
  • Coach production teams on food safety, sanitation, GMPs, and quality best practices.
  • Monitor quality trends and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Support supplier quality programs and raw material evaluations.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects to improve food safety, product quality, and operational performance.
  • For leadership roles: Mentor and develop Quality team members while fostering a strong quality culture.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Dairy Science, Microbiology, Biology, Chemistry, or a related field.
  • Experience in Quality, Food Safety, or Quality Systems within food, dairy, beverage, or ingredient manufacturing.
  • Strong understanding of HACCP, GMPs, food safety programs, and regulatory compliance.
  • Experience investigating quality concerns and implementing corrective actions.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in cheese manufacturing, dairy processing, or dairy ingredient production.
  • Experience supporting or leading SQF, BRC, FSSC 22000, FDA, or customer audits.
  • Knowledge of dairy microbiology, cheese production, whey processing, fermentation, or milk chemistry.
  • Experience leading CAPA, Root Cause Analysis, and continuous improvement projects.
  • Leadership or people development experience (for management opportunities).
  • Experience using quality metrics and data to drive operational improvements.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Combination of office responsibilities and time on the manufacturing floor.
  • Regular presence in production areas supporting Operations and Quality initiatives.
  • Exposure to dairy products, food-grade chemicals, and manufacturing equipment.
  • Required PPE: safety glasses, gloves, steel-toe boots, lab coat, and hard hat.
  • Physical demands: standing, walking, bending, and occasionally lifting 30-50 pounds.
  • Balance of desk work and hands-on collaboration across the facility.

Pay

$65,000–$135,000 annually based on experience and education.
