Position Responsibilities
- Provides guidance for reviews and validates product non-conformance and disposition type, quality procedures and engineering requirements
- Oversees the analysis and evaluation of the quality of products, operations and processes
- Guides the review of production plans
- Applies advanced knowledge of aerospace design, systems and integration to perform failure and forensic analysis of aerospace components and systems
- Guides or provides assistance in the root cause analysis of non-conformance
- Verifies the accuracy of analysis results by consulting with other authorities in the technical field
- Establishes process and product improvements by implementing technical initiatives
- Oversees the process of problem resolution to ensure effectiveness of the Quality Management System
- Reviews and oversees approval of Quality planning changes or disposition of non-conformance hardware products/processes
- Verifies the accuracy of analysis results by consulting with other authorities in the technical field
- Serves as a resource for training and mentoring fellow employees
- Monitors the groups' performance of the verification activity
- Creates formal analytical reports and coordinates with the responsible parties for internal / external distribution
- Projects manage quality initiatives to support 787 production improvements
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)
- 3+ years of experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
- 3+ years of experience in a role that required you to analyze and summarize raw data from various sources, and recommend executable action plans
- 3+ years of experience in Excel (i.e. formulas, pivot tables, linking worksheets)
- 3+ years of experience working with Velocity
- 3+ years of experience working on MRB (Materials Review Board) activities related to aircraft structures
- 3+ years of experience functioning in an environment where first-pass quality of work is expected
- Aerospace, Fabrication, or Manufacturing experience
- 3+ years Production Experience
- Able to access confined spaces and lift over 20lbs
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher
- Experience working with CMES
- Experience with managing quality improvement projects
- Experience in working defect reduction strategies within a cross-functional environment
- Boeing 787 Program Experience
- 3+ years of experience working on MRB (Materials Review Board) activities related to aircraft structures
- 3+ years of experience writing tags with at least 70% first pass quality over the last year
- Aerospace, Fabrication, or Manufacturing experience
