Position Responsibilities

  • Provides guidance for reviews and validates product non-conformance and disposition type, quality procedures and engineering requirements
  • Oversees the analysis and evaluation of the quality of products, operations and processes
  • Guides the review of production plans
  • Applies advanced knowledge of aerospace design, systems and integration to perform failure and forensic analysis of aerospace components and systems
  • Guides or provides assistance in the root cause analysis of non-conformance
  • Verifies the accuracy of analysis results by consulting with other authorities in the technical field
  • Establishes process and product improvements by implementing technical initiatives
  • Oversees the process of problem resolution to ensure effectiveness of the Quality Management System
  • Reviews and oversees approval of Quality planning changes or disposition of non-conformance hardware products/processes
  • Verifies the accuracy of analysis results by consulting with other authorities in the technical field
  • Serves as a resource for training and mentoring fellow employees
  • Monitors the groups' performance of the verification activity
  • Creates formal analytical reports and coordinates with the responsible parties for internal / external distribution
  • Projects manage quality initiatives to support 787 production improvements

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)

  • 3+ years of experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
  • 3+ years of experience in a role that required you to analyze and summarize raw data from various sources, and recommend executable action plans
  • 3+ years of experience in Excel (i.e. formulas, pivot tables, linking worksheets)
  • 3+ years of experience working with Velocity
  • 3+ years of experience working on MRB (Materials Review Board) activities related to aircraft structures
  • 3+ years of experience functioning in an environment where first-pass quality of work is expected
  • Aerospace, Fabrication, or Manufacturing experience
  • 3+ years Production Experience
  • Able to access confined spaces and lift over 20lbs

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher
  • Experience working with CMES
  • Experience with managing quality improvement projects
  • Experience in working defect reduction strategies within a cross-functional environment
  • Boeing 787 Program Experience
  • 3+ years of experience working on MRB (Materials Review Board) activities related to aircraft structures
  • 3+ years of experience writing tags with at least 70% first pass quality over the last year
  • Aerospace, Fabrication, or Manufacturing experience
