Responsibilities
- Support the QA/QC organization and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide back-up supervision of the Quality team and engage the Site’s Advanced Materials management team.
- Support the implementation and deployment of internal processes and documentation necessary to meet internal and customer quality requirements.
- Manage, track and report on the progress achieved.
- Support the management and maintenance of production and product control limits, specifications and quality review meetings.
- Support the leadership of contracted metrology support to the site for performance, method development and project prioritization for resource management.
- Prepare and present customer facing documentation related to product quality and ISO certification audits.
- Provide technical support for quality related incidents for Advanced Material products manufactured and used within the Asia Pacific region.
- Develop and lead investigations, corrective actions, quality training and support the implementation of systems necessary to maintain a strong Quality Management system.
- Manage data and authority to approve materials for shipment to customers.
- Lead site SPC/SQC reviews and action plans.
- Participate in FMEAs and offer recommendations to identify and eliminate quality related problems related to new, existing or changing processes prior to occurrences.
- Support supplier development and process six sigma projects, including capital project design and project management.
- Meet or exceed all company safety procedures and standards with the understanding that all injuries are preventable through appropriate risk reduction.
Qualifications
- A High School Diploma or GED required.
- 3+ years of experience in a leadership role, preferably in a chemical manufacturing environment.
- An advanced working knowledge of Quality Management fundamentals including FMEA, SPC, statistical data analysis and problem solving techniques.
- Experience investigating customer complaints using the 8D process.
- Knowledge of analytical techniques/laboratory analysis used for characterization of trace impurities in chemicals or pharmaceuticals.
- Knowledge of SAP and LIMS system functionality to support operations and quality functions.
- Strong English skills (verbal and written).
