Responsibilities
- Puts safety first in all responsibilities including awareness and adherence to all corporate and site environmental, health, and safety policies.
- Serve as the “Management Representative” for audits and other related customer and internal quality inquiries.
- Lead the quality team and manage the Amcor Plant Quality System, ensuring compliance to chosen quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee the testing of raw materials, in-process, and finished products to meet customer and company quality standards.
- Manage the customer complaint program, respond to customer complaints promptly, and participate in the formulation of corrective measures.
- Ensure compliance with corporate quality procedures including prerequisites, HACCP, GMP, and food safety, revising procedures as necessary.
- Work closely with Operations, Technical, and R&D teams to introduce new products and processes.
- Manage nonconformities and CAPA system, review in-process quality failures, and lead root cause investigations.
- Develop and implement in-process quality inspection plans, using effective and cost-conscious methods.
- Lead a culture of continuous improvement in Quality.
Requirements
- 5+ years of relevant working experience and training in Quality in a manufacturing environment.
- Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience in implementing and maintaining quality system and food safety system standards.
- Experience in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma.
- Knowledge of the packaging industry desirable.
- In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements for Medical, Pharmaceutical, and Food packaging products.
- Knowledge of Quality System Software and Quality Engineering tools.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in science or engineering or equivalent experience.
- Formal training in problem solving techniques, coaching, facilitating, project management, and team dynamics preferred.
Skills
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements for Medical, Pharmaceutical, and Food packaging products.
- Knowledge of HACCP/FSSC 22000/SQF/BRC/IMS, ISO 13485/9001.
