Quality Manager, Data Center Manufacturing

What You'll Do

• Manage an engineering team focused on driving continuous improvement and an operations team focused on daily operations
• Lead creation and improvement of training and development of team members within the quality operations teams
• Develop, implement, and maintain standards and procedures as part of the Tesla Quality Management System
• Establish, monitor status to internal and external quality performance metrics and drive continuous improvement
• Drive continue improvements to key internal factory metrics: Safety, People, Quality, Rate, and Cost
• Lead cross-functional problem-solving teams to drive process and product improvements; use of QA methodologies to manage and facilitate issue resolution including root cause investigations and the development, implementation and monitoring of effective corrective and preventive actions
• Organize and prioritize work with minimal guidance and manage projects in a timely and effective manner
• Present performance metrics and status of critical issues to executive management and drive process adherence alignment across all shifts, in all departments

What You'll Bring

• Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Materials, or Industrial Engineering, Six Sigma certification, ASQ-CQE, or equivalent working experience
• 5+ years of quality leadership experience in manufacturing and/or designing new products for high-volume operations
• Proven ability to build and lead a strong team in a 24x7 manufacturing environment
• Demonstrated knowledge of and experience Root Cause Analysis, and Statistical Analysis
• Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize in highly dynamic production environment
• Ability to resolve quality issues with urgency on a 24x7 production environment, which require flexibility when the need arises.
• Dependable leader and professional problem solver that seek solutions rather than only pointing problems out
