- Ensure quality is integrated into business execution—not treated as a downstream inspection function.
- Represent QA leadership in coordination with senior leadership and corporate quality direction.
- Execution & Operational Oversight
- Review customer purchase orders, specifications, and engineering documentation to define and communicate requirements.
- Lead and manage the Material Review Board (MRB), ensuring timely and compliant disposition of nonconforming material.

- Set priorities and direction for Quality Control resources to meet production and customer commitments.
- Analyze quality data, returns, and failures—driving root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions.

- Supplier & External Quality
- Approve supplier quality procedures and certified material test reports to applicable codes (ASME, ANSI, etc.).
- Evaluate and develop suppliers and subcontractors to ensure compliance with company quality requirements.
- Support supplier performance improvement and qualification activities.
- Audits, Compliance & Customer Interface
- Lead and participate in customer and third-party audits, ensuring audit readiness at all times.
- Serve as the primary quality interface with customers, confidently interpreting requirements and resolving issues.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and EHS requirements.
- Represent the Director of QA, as required.

Preferred Qualifications
- Nuclear industry experience (NQA-1 environment strongly desired).
- Customer-facing quality experience.
- Qualified NQA-1 Lead Auditor.
Skills and Competencies
The Quality Assurance Manager is expected to:
- Hold the business accountable to quality standards.
- Interpret and enforce requirements without ambiguity.
- Lead from the front in quality decisions, audits, and customer interactions.
