Position Summary
The Quality Manager will oversee all quality assurance and quality control activities, ensuring that products consistently meet customer specifications, industry standards, and company requirements. This position plays a critical role in supporting the production of precision components for industries including motorcycle parts, outdoor recreational equipment, small engine components, and other manufactured products.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems, procedures, and standards.
- Ensure all products meet customer specifications, regulatory requirements, and company quality expectations.
- Conduct inspections and quality audits throughout incoming, in-process, and final production stages.
- Review customer drawings, specifications, and quality requirements to ensure compliance.
- Analyze quality data, identify trends, and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
- Investigate non-conformances, customer complaints, and production issues, implementing effective resolutions.
- Authorize product holds or shipment delays when quality standards are not met.
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and operations teams to improve manufacturing processes and product quality.
- Lead root cause analysis activities and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Prepare and maintain quality reports, inspection records, and performance metrics.
- Cook up customer audits, supplier quality reviews, and internal quality assessments.
- Maintain calibration programs and inspection equipment to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Train, mentor, and develop quality personnel while fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
- Lead and motivate the quality team to achieve departmental and organizational objectives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Quality Management, Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of quality management experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of quality systems, inspection methods, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements.
- Familiarity with ISO quality standards and manufacturing best practices.
- Proven leadership experience with the ability to train, coach, and develop teams.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proficiency with quality reporting tools and Microsoft Office applications.
