Quality Manager
About the role
The Quality Manager is accountable for monitoring and supporting the manufacturing activities to produce a quality product that meets or exceeds our customers’ expectations through continued review and analysis of quality and production process.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and improve quality standards, systems, and measures.
- Evaluate and implement corrective actions to address quality issues.
- Communicate quality expectations to all levels of the organization.
- Train and motivate employees to adhere to quality control protocols.
- Conduct inspections and tests to ensure products meet quality specifications.
- Analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements.
Requirements
- Minimum of five years’ hands-on “on the plant floor” experience managing Quality Control/Operational Standards in a manufacturing environment.
- Excellent project management skills.
- Strong analytical, statistical, and problem-solving skills.
- Persuasive communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a cross-functional, dynamic, and collaborative environment.
- Knowledge of glass fabrication, insulation, and laminating is a plus!
Qualifications
- Self-motivated and detail-oriented.
- Comfortable communicating with multiple functions within the business.
- Experience in defining quality standards, quality systems, and measures.
- Proven track record of troubleshooting, inspecting, and testing materials to ensure quality specifications are met.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in training, motivating, and instructing employees engaged in process improvement.
- Hands-on experience with production equipment and working with production supervisors.
- Experience creating and understanding of workflow, employee relations, and processes.
Skills
