Responsibilities
- Operational leadership and daily management of the Quality Department
- Coordination of day-to-day operations
- Performance improvement efforts for publicly reported clinical measures
- Auxiliary with regulatory agency investigations and survey activities
- Data analysis related activities
- Investigate and respond to insurance quality referrals
- Participate in regulatory agency deficiencies and validate plans of correction are reported to the required Councils
- Ensure effective execution of quality improvement initiatives, core measure performance, and data integrity
- Translate quality priorities and data analysis requirements into actionable work plans
- Support frontline Quality staff
- Ensure timely, accurate reporting and follow-through
- Assist with implementing strategies for best practices
- Provide educational opportunities in collaboration with the education department and performance improvement support to clinical providers and staff
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or related healthcare field, preferred
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience working as a manager in the areas of quality and/or performance improvement highly desirable
- Strong organizational and communication skills desired
- Extensive experience in facilitating and leading teams and conducting Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) desired
- Strong knowledge of CMS, Joint Commission, and California regulatory requirements
- Working knowledge of core measure abstraction, data validation, and quality reporting systems
- Team STEPPS Master Trainer preferred
- LEAN Six Sigma training and recent experience preferred
Qualifications
- Current California license as a registered nurse required
- CPHQ preferred
- CPPS preferred
- MAB is required to be completed on the first day of work. (Grandfathered: existing employees must complete new requirements by 6/9/2025.)
