Quality Manager
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for the coordination and allocation of manpower to support company quality activities to achieve customer deliverables
- Responsible for setting company objectives and related training
- Cross functional team to develop, refine and execute company quality plan
- Ensures training and development of Quality department
- Maintains and monitors department training system
- Develops standardized methods and processes for the Quality area
- Responsible for overall department financials and budget controls for Quality department
- Works with the customer and leadership to forecast the expected expenditures for programs to achieve the scope of work
- Reviews and facilitates lessons learned and open issues to appropriate groups
- Reviews financial status of projects with upper management
- Participates in and support 5S, QS, kaizen and lean manufacturing activities
- Maintains a strong understanding of HIROTEC Manufacturing America database and ISO requirements
- Takes responsibility for any follow-up on communications to be sure desired outcome is achieved
- Provides necessary guidance and structure for special characteristics for products or processes as needed
- Provides necessary guidance and structure for changes, new directions, new processes, and new product introductions
- Communicates with appropriate parties as necessary within the HMA team and HIROTEC Corporation
- Communicates with customers and vendors; provides or receives feedback where necessary; provides updates on deliverables
- Responsible for taking preventative action by proactively assessing project quality and takes appropriate corrective actions
- Active in project scoping, kickoff and closure meetings
- Initiates or suggests plans to motivate assigned manpower to achieve work goals and to improve QS operating system
- Utilizes customer portals to retrieve, report, and/or request pertinent customer information
Qualifications
An associate's degree in engineering, industrial technology, or a related field is required. A bachelor's degree is preferred. Relevant work experience in a manufacturing environment is also required. Experience in quality management, lean manufacturing, and Six Sigma is highly desirable.
Skills
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required. Knowledge of ISO standards and lean manufacturing principles is beneficial.

Pay
The salary range for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 annually.
Schedule
The position is full-time and works Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
