About The Role This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for overseeing the entire quality function in a highly engineered, tight-tolerance gear and gearbox manufacturing environment. The Quality Manager will lead quality assurance and quality control activities across precision gear manufacturing operations, ensuring compliance with customer specifications, industry standards, and internal performance objectives. The ideal candidate brings deep experience in gear and gearbox manufacturing, including the unique inspection and process-control requirements associated with precision gear production. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage the Quality Department, including inspectors and techniciansOversee inspection processes across gear manufacturing operations, including in-process and final inspectionEnsure compliance with ISO 9001 and applicable quality standardsInterpret and apply AGMA standards and customer specificationsManage corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)Lead root cause analysis using structured problem-solving methodologiesDrive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce scrap and improve process capabilityOversee calibration and maintenance of inspection equipment, including gear analyzers, CMMs, and lead/profile measurement toolsInterface directly with customers regarding quality concerns, audits, and performance reviewsPartner closely with Engineering and Production to support new product launches and process improvementsMonitor key quality metrics, including PPM, scrap rates, and on-time delivery impact Required Qualifications 5+ years leading quality in a gear or gearbox manufacturing environment, with direct experience in gear inspection methods and equipmentDirect experience in precision gear and gearbox manufacturingExperience in high-precision, tight-tolerance production environmentsCustomer-facing quality leadership experienceExperience with gear inspection methods and equipment, including gear analyzers, CMMs, lead/profile measurement, or runout testingExperience with heat treat, grinding, hobbing, shaping, and finishing operationsStrong working knowledge of AGMA standards and ISO 9001 quality systemsProficient in reading and interpreting detailed engineering drawingsBachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical fieldExcellent analytical, problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills Benefits Comprehensive full benefits packageQuarterly performance bonuses Apply now for immediate consideration!
