Quality Manager
About the role
The Quality Manager will lead quality efforts across Anchor Packaging manufacturing operations in Northeast Arkansas. They will develop, implement, and coordinate product assurance programs to prevent or eliminate defects in new or existing products. The position involves direct supervision of Quality Assurance Supervisors and Quality Engineers in three manufacturing locations.
Responsibilities
- Supervise at least four employees in the Quality Assurance Department & Lab. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws
- Maintain and improve the Quality Program for conformance to BRC Revision 7 Standard. Improve quality measurement, maintenance of equipment, and feedback systems, driving quality improvement efforts
- Assure development and execution of test methods to analyze visual, dimensional, and performance testing of rigid plastic thermoformed parts, sheet, and blown film
- Oversee and/or perform Quality Assurance reviews of technical files, master records, history files, validation planning, and design release
- Assure execution and leadership of complaint investigation on existing products to reduce internal and external concerns
- Develop procedures, work instructions, and establish appropriate work standards for new product and process development activities
- Analyze quality data to provide report out to production and technical departments of trends and issues needing improvement actions
- Lead cross-functional teams to drive improvement in Quality Metrics and Performance to increase customer satisfaction
Requirements
- Experience in a supervisory position in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Experience driving measurable improvement in product and/or process quality in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge and use of statistical tools for data analysis to monitor quality performance
Qualifications
- Knowledge of Food Defense, HACCP FDA regulation and BRC
- Experience in the thermoforming and sheet extrusion industry
- Experience working in SAP or similar platforms
