About the role
Eaton’s IS VEH EMB division is currently seeking a Quality Manager. This is a full time, on-site role based at our Carol Stream, IL facility. Relocation assistance is available to those within the US/PR. The expected annual salary range for this role is $113,000 - $165,000 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.
Responsibilities
- Understanding of quality system standards (QS900 / ISO 900 / TS 16949)
- Develop and oversee the Quality Management System to ensure compliance with the ISO 9001 standard
- Manage all program activities including being the corporate representative and authority on ISO 9001 requirements and the primary contact to external ISO auditors
- Resolve daily manufacturing issues and provide disposition on nonconforming material
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventative action processes, including customer/vendor interaction
- Develop, implement and participate in training to build quality awareness and improvement
- Maintain quality documentation, such as manuals, procedures and other relevant written processes
- Manage customer/supplier performance and conduct audits
- Responsible for planning, organizing and managing the overall activities of receiving/outgoing quality functions
- Lead continuous improvement efforts focused on improving plant objectives
- Perform other quality-related duties as required
Qualifications
- Basic Qualifications: Minimum Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institutionMinimum of 5 years’ experience in a quality management experience in manufacturing, industrial and/or engineering environment
- Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in EngineeringAutomotive Industry experienceKnowledge of Micro-Vu’ OGP and Keyence Vision inspection equipmentExperience reading/ interpreting mechanical blueprints with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), knowledge of precision measurement tools In depth experience in an IATF environment including materials and manufacturing processesAdvanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) experience is highly desired, including associated tools such as characteristics matrices, process flow diagrams, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEAs), Control Plans, Measurement System Analysis (MSA), and the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP)Bi-Lingual (Spanish/English) Skills Effective verbal and written communication skillsExperience in Managing, Developing and Coaching People Strong understanding of statistical process control and how to use data to drive decisionsOccasionally required to lift up to 40lbsPPE- Safety glasses, steel toed boots required.
