Responsible for all quality operations within the company, including quality assurance, quality engineering, AS9100 compliance, and administration of the quality management system. The Quality Manager drives quality performance measurement and improvement throughout the enterprise by identifying product and process nonconformances and implementing robust root cause and corrective actions. Serves as the primary contact for all quality-related issues and represents the company with suppliers and customers.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all quality functions and foster a high-performance quality culture.
  • Establish and maintain a quality management system compliant with AS9100.
  • Report on the performance of the quality management system and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Drive enterprise-wide performance improvement through robust metrics and KPIs.
  • Develop and maintain a high-performance supply chain through collaboration with Strategic Sourcing.
  • Serve as the primary interface for customers and suppliers on quality-related issues.
  • Identify quality-related risks and mitigation strategies during bid and contract review processes.
  • Review purchase orders, engineering datasets, and test plans for compliance.
  • Provide technical reporting and analytical expertise for warranty and non-warranty repairs.
  • Develop, train, and assess employees to sustain required staffing levels.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by adhering to standards and legal regulations.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Undergraduate degree in a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a Quality Supervisory role.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Expertise with ISO9000, AS9100, and other quality standards, including internal and external audits.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex drawings and blueprints.
  • Knowledge of mechanical systems, GD&T, and familiarity with standard testing tools (micrometers, calipers, height gages, optical comparators).
  • Regularly exercises independent judgment and discretion about matters of significance.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal form with all levels of management and employees.
  • Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking).
  • Proficient in quality management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds may be required.

Pay

Salary range: $130,000 to $150,000 annually.

9/80 work schedule (every other Friday off).
