Quality Management Systems (QMS) Engineer

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain compliance with ISO 9001, QC080000, and other applicable quality management standards.
  • Cook up and manage external certification activities and serve as the primary liaison with certification bodies and third-party auditors.
  • Lead UL safety compliance activities and ensure ongoing adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of quality management processes and procedures.
  • Coordinate and support customer audits, third-party audits, and certification audits.
  • Facilitate weekly ECO review meetings, track action items, and provide status updates to stakeholders.
  • Monitor and drive closure of quality-related corrective and preventive actions.
  • Conduct root cause analysis of quality issues and implement sustainable corrective actions.
  • Manage customer quality assessment programs and on-site customer audit activities.
  • Support product and process qualification activities, including manufacturing line qualifications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify quality risks, improve processes, and enhance product reliability.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using quality tools, metrics, and data-driven decision-making.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Manufacturing, or a related technical discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering, quality, manufacturing, or product development environments.
  • Minimum of 2 years of leadership, supervisory, or project leadership experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001, IATF 16949, QC080000, and related quality management standards.
  • Experience conducting internal and external audits in accordance with established QMS standards.
  • Proficiency with quality tools and methodologies, including root cause analysis, CAPA, 8D, and statistical process improvement techniques.
  • Working knowledge of Minitab and other quality management software applications.
  • Familiarity with engineering change management processes (ECR/ECO).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to identify root causes and implement effective corrective actions.
  • Excellent data analysis and reporting skills with the ability to identify trends and support business decisions.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
  • High attention to detail, organizational skills, and commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural, cross-functional environment where English serves as the primary business language.
