About the Role

This position is on-site in Lynchburg, Virginia.

Responsibilities

  • Provides backup for supplier and quality technical oversight for government furnished material.
  • Reviews material certifications to ensure testing and metallurgical properties are within specification.
  • Oversees receipt inspection, material over-inspection, and production processes.
  • Resolves technical problems as required.
  • Maintains material traceability database.
  • Performs reviews of contract modifications and provides cost estimates for bid and proposal work.
  • Develops, maintains, and complies with Operating Procedures, Quality Work instructions, and unit-specific user instructions.
  • Conducts internal and external audits at supplier and other NOG sites.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must possess at least eight (8) years of relevant experience or four (4) years of experience with an AS or higher degree.
  • Must be proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Must demonstrate superior written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Must have strong time management skills.
  • Must be highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail.
  • Must possess proven analytical and creative problem-solving abilities.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous Six Sigma/Lean experience is preferred.
  • NQA-1 or ISO certifications are preferred.

Pay

The base salary range for this position in Virginia is expected to be between $65,000 and $103,000 per year. The base salary offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. The total compensation package may also include an annual cash incentive and a full range of medical, retirement, and other benefits.
