Quality Lead
About the role
Reports To: Quality Manager
Job Type: Full-time
Job Summary: As a key leader of the quality department, you will drive customer focus between the quality department and the production department daily for quality checks, documentation, and other inquiries. You will oversee the quality assurance process, ensuring products or services meet established standards and regulations in both production and quality. You will assist in implementing and updating quality control procedures and focus on improvement to enhance overall quality and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Daily management of reviewing, monitoring, and following up with production checks, audits, paperwork items, and other inquiries to ensure customer focus and compliance to certifying bodies.
- Leading and motivating a team and providing guidance.
- Understanding quality control processes, standards, and procedures.
- Quick problem-solving while keeping safety and customer satisfaction in the forefront.
- Analyzing data, identifying root causes of quality issues, and implementing solutions during manufacturing.
- Communicating effectively with team members, management, and other departments.
- Managing multiple tasks, prioritizing workload, and assisting with meeting deadlines.
- Implementing and maintaining quality management systems and continuously improving processes.
- Analyzing data, identifying trends, and using data-driven decision-making relating to Heldware.
- Implementation and updating of quality controlled documentation.
- Actively working on continuous improvement items for quality and manufacturing.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: 3-5 years in quality related positions, 1-2 years in manufacturing (preferred).
- Education: Associates/Bachelor's Degree in Business, Management, Supervisory Development, or Engineering.
Skills
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Ability to use various computer and internet applications.
- Supervisory Skills Course Training (preferred).
- Blueprint Reading (preferred).
