What You'll Do
- Maintain an understanding of the automotive industry inspection concepts and methodologies.
- Serves as a senior-level Inspector and subject matter expert regarding inspection processes and methodologies.
- Plays a lead role in reviewing inspection reports, identifying material issues, and recommending steps to secure positive auction results.
- Supports 4T's with Inspector training, ensuring team members have the requisite knowledge and hands-on training.
- Inspecting vehicle equipment and options, documenting results of damaged, missing, or inoperable equipment.
- Engages with VE Leader and customers to understand questions, issues, and concerns.
- Safeguards customer complaints by addressing them effectively and promptly.
- Communicates customer needs and suggestions for changes that will improve customer service and better meet customer needs.
- Conducts New Hire Training
- Conducts Weekly Group Training Sessions
- Facilitates ICP Level Testing for the inspection team
- Completes Audits on inspectors each week
- Conducts One-on-one coaching sessions on physical audit results
- Reviews audit reports for quality Trends and Address with the Inspection Team
- Maintains all Manheim Training Certifications
- Conducts Training Certification for Inspectors
- Maintains knowledge of the image Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) to promote image quality
- Trains staff based on audit, policy loss, and arbitration trends
- Conducts other duties as assigned by management
Required
- A High School Diploma/GED and 7 years of related experience; Any degree and 5 years of related experience; or 9 years of experience in a related field.
- Ability to drive standard and automatic transmission vehicles, safe drivers needed; valid driver's license required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required. Strong technical aptitude; body, paint, and mechanical repair knowledge; mastery of unibody and full-frame vehicles; good organizational skills needed.
- The ability to multitask, follow directions, and take instructions is required. Basic computer skills.
- Successful completion of Manheim ICP Inspector Level IV written/field exam; Basic Inspections (Electronic Condition Report), Vehicle Grading, Repair Recommendations & Frame Merit Certifications required.
- The ability to stand, walk, or sit for prolonged periods of time; ability to bend, stoop, squat, or kneel; ability to lift and hold at least 10 lbs at waist level for an extended period of time; ability to lift up to 30 lbs.

Pay
Hourly pay rate is in the range of $22.02 - $33.08/hour. The hourly base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.
