Responsibilities

  • Reviews, evaluates, and ensures compliance of parts shipped to quality standards and customer requirements.
  • Completes test reports for shipments, evaluates quality records for adequacy and acceptance.
  • Performs and assists in the physical and metallurgical tests on in-process and final production parts.
  • Performs tasks associated with the movement of materials, supplies, and finished goods to designated areas throughout the facility.
  • Reads and comprehends blueprints.
  • Verifies calibration on all test equipment is current prior to use.
  • Reports any safety violation, test equipment misuse, and/or improperly performed work to Supervisor.
  • Moves parts and materials to and from factories and departments as indicated on material documentation.
  • Delivers part samples to quality lab for inspection and evaluation when required.
  • Creates, maintains, and issues all gages used by production through the GageTrak System.
  • Monitors daily temperature and humidity requirements in gage room.
  • Uses spreadsheet to find correct offset and insert Calibration.
  • Controls test bolt inventory in the gage room used by operators and technicians.
  • Issues test bolts and requests additional test bolts as needed from stock.
  • Adheres and implements all company HSE policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Supports everyone's efforts to succeed; recognizes accomplishments of team members.
  • Prioritizes and plans work activities of self; uses time efficiently.
  • Respects and ensures respect for the instructions and rules established in the field of health, safety and the environment.
  • Immediately corrects, whenever possible, or reports to his or her superiors and/or the HSE department, any malfunction or risky situation in the fields of health, safety and environmental protection.
  • Implements preventive actions to reduce the environmental footprint and control health and safety risks.
  • Be familiar with the main health and safety risks and the main environmental impacts relating to the scope of his/her work.
  • Be familiar with the site's HSE policy and objectives.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
  • 0-1 year of clerical/administrative experience, preferably in a lab, manufacturing or warehouse environment.
  • Basic mainframe computer systems and familiar with Spreadsheet and Word Processing software; Database systems.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical functions, (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).

Skills and Abilities

  • Analytical - Synthesizes complex or diverse information; Collects and researches data; Uses experience to complement data; understands the workflows and procedures.
  • Technical Skills – Technical skills in Quality Assurance and manufacturing processes and methods including flow, layout, assembly and inspection equipment; Good understanding of Geometric tolerance per ANSI Y145; Proficient in the use of Calipers, Micrometers, Height gages, ring gages, pin gages, go and no-go pin gages, optical comparator and microscopes; Reads and understands blueprints.
