Quality Inspector (Temp-to-Perm)

Job Summary We are seeking a hands-on Quality Technician for a full-time, temp-to-perm position in Stratford, CT. In this role, you will collaborate with a tight-knit quality and engineering team to inspect incoming mechanical parts from global suppliers, create detailed inspection documentation, and support new product development (R&D). location: Stratford, Connecticut job type: Temporary salary: $26 - 29 per hour work hours: 8 to 4 education: High School Responsibilities Inspect incoming mechanical hardware, prototypes, and samples using calipers, micrometers, and precision measuring tools. Read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings to ensure parts meet quality standards. Create and update inspection documentation and guidelines for global suppliers. Perform root cause analysis, investigate non-conforming products/returns, and generate 8D reports. Collaborate closely with engineering, R&D, and production teams on new product development projects. Track supplier quality performance and recommend corrective actions as needed. Qualifications 3+ years of quality experience in hardware, light assembly, or mechanical manufacturing (medical device or physical parts preferred; no food or chemical background ). Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience using precision measurement tools and reading engineering blueprints. Exposure to R&D or new product development environments.
