Responsibilities
- Work with suppliers on rejected material and arrange product returns as needed.
- Perform inspections on products received from vendors, specifically aerospace fasteners.
- Use measurement gadgets such as micrometers and screw gauges to assess products.
- Conduct random inspections to evaluate product quality.
- Accept or reject finished products and discuss inspection results with the production team.
- Remove non‑conforming products and recommend strategies to improve quality.
- Maintain high standards of quality for all received products and contribute to team results.
- Recommend adjustments and changes to production processes as necessary.
- Ensure company compliance with customer requirements.
- Verify part numbers for accuracy before adding them to the system.
Qualifications & Skills
- College degree or equivalent experience (required).
- 3–7 years of experience in the aerospace industry.
- Extensive knowledge of calibration/inspection equipment (calipers, micrometers, ring gauges, plug gauges, radius gauges).
- Ability to read blueprints and diagrams, multitask, and use computer applications.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word; comfortable learning proprietary software.
- Good working knowledge of aircraft fasteners.
- Strong quality orientation and high attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience working with high‑performance teams.
Special Requirements
U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (Green Card holder), or asylee/refugee status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3) is required. This position is subject to ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) and/or EAR (Export Administration Regulations) compliance. Applicants will be asked to provide documentation verifying U.S. person status under ITAR/EAR. Some positions may require current U.S. citizenship due to contract requirements.
