Quality Inspector II

DPP is seeking a Quality Inspector II for an opportunity with our client in the Aerospace and Defense Manufacturing industry. Work Location: Onsite in Oxnard, CA Duration: 12 months Terms: W2 Contract Work Authorization: US Citizen Responsibilities:Uses predetermined methods, operations, setups, and prescribed specifications to inspect visually in-process and completed products.Perform required inspections (visual, dimensional, and functional, etc.) on spacecraft components.Uses various measuring devices, such as caliper, micrometer, comparator, pin gages, and Coordinate Measuring Machine.This job has decision-making responsibilities with regards to the acceptance or rejection of work and tests performed.Inspects and performs tests on mechanical, electrical, or structural components and assemblies related to spacecraft components and sub-assemblies. Inspections vary from close tolerance dimensional checks to general surveillance of the work in progress.Accepts, rejects, or reworks defective or malfunctioning units or systems.Work from drawings, diagrams, customer specifications, and inspection instructions.Required Qualifications:High school diploma or GED and at least 2 years of additional education and/or direct experience in a quality assurance or inspection role.Experience utilizing various measuring devices, such as caliper, micrometer, comparator, gages, pin gages, and other inspection tools.Knowledge of GD&T with the ability to read and comprehend detail control plans, work instructions, drawings, Bill of Materials, Specifications and related criteria.US Citizenship required.Preferred Qualifications:Strong computer skills.Good written and oral communication skills with the ability to interface across the organization to achieve effective results.Experience working in a team environment to solve problems and balance workloads.Experience in Aerospace manufacturing, mechanical assemblies, and/or electronic assemblies.Interested?
