About the Role
Hyve Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented, hands-on, results-driven Quality Inspector to join our dynamic team. This position requires a strong work ethic and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, challenging environment.
- Perform detailed visual and dimensional inspections of incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products according to specifications, blueprints, and quality control plans.
- Utilize various measuring instruments and equipment (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges) accurately and effectively.
- Identify, document, and report non-conforming materials or products, initiating corrective actions as needed.
- Maintain accurate and detailed inspection records, including daily logs, defect reports, and test results.
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and other departments to investigate root causes of quality issues and implement preventive measures.
- Conduct first-article inspections and provide feedback on new product introductions.
- Adhere to all company safety regulations and quality management system requirements.
- Assist in internal and external quality audits as required.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent; an associate's degree in a technical field preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in quality inspection within a manufacturing or electronics environment.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Demonstrated experience with various measurement tools and techniques.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent observational skills.
- Basic understanding of quality control principles and methodologies (e.g., AQL, SPC).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) for documentation and reporting.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
