About the Role

Inspects aircraft seats and interior products for conformance with government and company standards and specifications. Reports deviations and supports preventive and corrective actions analysis to ensure the delivery of high-quality products and services to customers.

Responsibilities

  • Inspects the installation and operation of aircraft seats and other related equipment.
  • Inspects work areas and practices to detect potential unsafe conditions.
  • Reads and understands applicable technical information from Work Instructions, Drawings, Standards, and Specifications.
  • Uses inspection tools and test equipment applicable to the activity.
  • Performs necessary work registers as requested by production and quality documents.
  • Prepares technical reports of quality deviations for engineering analysis.
  • Performs dimensional and visual inspections.
  • Reviews documentation and maintains electronic inspection document files.
  • Performs dimensional inspections to drawings, including filling out First Article Inspection Reports and Non-Conformance Reports.
  • Performs aesthetic visual inspections according to customer specifications, including completing detailed squawk reports in PowerPoint.
  • Interacts with multiple department employees and management to discuss quality findings and issues.
  • Supports the process of preventive and corrective actions plan analysis.
  • Commits to company values and complies with department norms, policies, directives, and procedures.
  • Incorporates Lean and P3E processes and concepts into daily activities.
  • Strives for continuous improvement to processes and procedures.
  • Honors and protects confidential and proprietary documents and information.
  • Satisfies work schedule requirements.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 0-3 years of experience in area of responsibility.
  • Assembly work experience plus two years inspection experience in a production environment.

Skills

  • Ability to read technical documents and interpret information, including the metric system.
  • Understands procedures and acts in problem-solving, suggesting improvements.
  • Knowledge of safety and operating procedures for power-on aircraft.
  • Application and use of precision measurement instruments and test equipment.
  • Team worker with logical thinking and detail-oriented approach.

Qualifications

  • Desired: Prior Inspector work experience with aerospace quality systems that meet FAA requirements.
