Quality Inspector - Cable & Wire Harnesses - Level 2

About the role

Responsibilities

• Perform first-article, in-process, and final cable wire harness inspections at supplier sites
• Verify that products meet quality requirements and specifications
• Verify safety wire orientation, number of turns, and pigtails according to specifications
• Review and document shipping documentation
• Classify defects and record non-conformances
• Interpret standard manufacturing drawings
• Ensure assembly equipment is properly maintained and work areas are organized
• Work productively to meet production schedules

Requirements

• Three (3) years of experience as a Cable and Harness Inspector/Assembler with increased responsibilities
• Five (5) years of experience as a Cable and Harness Inspector/Assembler with increased responsibilities and two (2) years' experience as a Cable and Harness Inspector in an electronic contract manufacturing organization, electronic high tech, or related industry
• Diploma or GED from an accredited high school or technical school, or college degree in engineering or related field preferred
• Knowledge of cable and harness assembly methods, IPC-A-620 Standards, and electronic contract manufacturing best practices
• LEAN manufacturing knowledge a plus
• Able to read and document COC (Certificate of Conformance)
• Able to identify electronic wiring and harnessing components
• Strong organizational skills and excellent communication abilities
• US Citizenship required, background checks required
