Quality Inspector – Cable & Wire Harnesses - Level 2
About the role
SQA Services has been a leading provider of managed supplier quality services for nearly 30 years, offering audits, assessments, remote surveillance, corrective actions, remediation, inspections, and engineering solutions to manufacturers across all industries. We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cable & Harness Inspector to support our team in San Antonio, TX.
Responsibilities
- Performs inspections of electrical systems, electrical components, wiring, and related aircraft electrical installations to ensure compliance with applicable standards and specifications
- Implements quality assurance and safety plans to ensure compliance with contract specifications and applicable regulations
- Inspects all phases of a variety of goods, services, or operations for conformity to established quality, health and safety, and other operational standards by performing ongoing reviews of work for compliance with requirements
- Ensures all services listed on the performance requirement summary are performed in a satisfactory manner
- Specifies areas to be inspected (scheduled and unscheduled) and how often inspections will be accomplished
- Communicates deficiencies to proper personnel
- Maintains Quality Assurance files and documents results of all inspections
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience inspecting or working with aircraft electrical systems, electrical components, wiring, or related electrical installations
- Minimum of 5 years of Aerospace Quality Inspection experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience performing product or process inspections
- Minimum of 5 years of experience reading and interpreting aerospace engineering drawings and blueprints
- Must be willing to work variable shifts, including weekends and overtime
- Strong organizational, communication, and software adaptation skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Electrical inspection experience on aircraft systems, avionics, wiring, or integrated electrical components
- Experience working with large aircraft Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) inspections
- Experience in Aerospace, Manufacturing, Quality, or experience in a regulated industry
- FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificate or sufficient experience to obtain an FAA Repairman Certificate
- Experience with Executive Fleet aircraft
Pay and Benefits
$29-$34 per hour. Actual compensation will be based on a variety of factors, including experience, skills, qualifications, and location. Mileage reimbursement at the US government rate ($0.70 per mile driven). Untaxed.
Schedule
This is a full-time position with 2 different shift schedules: 4 - 10 hour shifts starting at 5:00am for 1st shift or 2:30pm for 2nd shift (Sun-Wed (OT Thurs) or Wed - Sat (OT Tues)).
