Full-time position supporting production and testing of manufactured goods alongside other QA personnel. The Quality Inspector will utilize basic mechanical inspection tools and gauges to maintain product line quality.
Responsibilities
- Assurance of material criteria establishment.
- Inspect incoming raw materials and components for conformance; verify traceability to existing inspection plans, customer/VMC drawings, sales, and purchase orders.
- Initiate and manage the MRB (Material Review Board) process.
- In-process product inspection:
- Inspect product integrity relative to order dimensions, components, color, etc.
- Randomly sample ‘in-process product’ to ensure specifications and dimensional checks.
- Identify and document products that do not meet quality specifications.
- Complete reports and logs; summarize re-work and waste.
- Final product inspection:
- Ensure final product meets specific customer order requirements.
- Review and sign off on the traveler or work order to release product to shipping.
- Collect quality data for accept and reject rates across all areas.
Requirements
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, and Word.
- Working knowledge of gauge calibration and ability to use calipers, height gauges, thread gauges, etc.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and apply knowledge to product inspection.
- Knowledge of ANSI Y14.5 symbology.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED.
- 2-3 years of experience in a mechanical inspection environment.
- Experience with ISO 9001 is a plus.

Pay
$20-$25/hr
