About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Inspector to join our team, offering flexibility for 1st and 2nd shifts. This role is crucial in ensuring the quality of our products through inspections, audits, and adherence to industry standards.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect incoming vendor shipments, external services, and in-process production across all departments.
  • Perform final inspections and QC checks at shipping.
  • Work from blueprints or specific customer requirements.
  • Prepare and maintain inspection reports and records.
  • Conduct monthly calibration tool inspections and record keeping.
  • Perform hardness verification and daily audits of all departments.
  • Issue Quality Alerts when issues are identified.
  • Assist in increasing knowledge of manufacturing practices.
  • Lead production shop tours and participate in shop meetings requiring PPE.
  • Assist machine operators in understanding process flow.
  • Operate office equipment and perform other duties as needed.

Work Environment

  • Primary work environment includes the office and production floor.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) throughout the shift.
  • Frequent standing, occasional stooping, and walking.
  • Prolonged sitting with occasional walking and stooping.

Requirements

  • High school education or equivalent.
  • 1-2+ years of experience in a quality control role.
  • UT or Mag Particle Level I or Level II certification (highly preferred).
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) experience is a significant plus.
  • Basic reading, writing (English), and math skills.
  • Familiarity with hand measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, pitch mics, etc.).
  • Basic computer knowledge (Microsoft & Company Server).
  • Ability to work well in a team and prioritize duties.
  • Knowledge of quality control procedures and industry standards.

Special Requirements

  • Safety-sensitive position requiring adherence to safety protocols.
  • Subject to drug testing as per the Drug-Free Workplace Act of 1988 and company policies.
  • Ability to work overtime as required and approved.
