Quality Inspector

Minimum Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in a related field preferred.
• Experience: 2+ years in a manufacturing or quality inspection role.
• Knowledge:
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 and AS9100D requirements (preferred).
  • Familiarity with IPC/WHMA‑A‑620 (preferred).
  • Familiarity with AS9102 First Article Inspections (preferred).
• Skills:
  • Strong understanding of precision measurement tools and techniques.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to work in a high‑mix, low‑volume environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform detailed inspections of incoming materials, in‑process components, and finished products using precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, tape measures).
• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to verify compliance with design requirements.
• Identify and document non‑conforming materials or products and provide feedback to operators.
• Maintain accurate inspection records.
• Conduct First Article Inspections (FAI) in accordance with company and industry standards.
• Monitor and enforce compliance with customer workmanship standards.
• Participate in root cause analysis and recommend solutions to prevent recurring issues.
• Perform other duties as required.
